|  | Lovely production, but Espen Lind must watch out for clich?s.
Again Espen Lind shows himself as a great pop song creator with the album “April”. He and the rest of the production team Espionage has also made a close to perfect technical album, and it is not a drawback that Espen Lind has a great voice.
Some of the cuts on the record have got everything. This includes “Unloved” which many will recognize from a single release a couple of months ago, but even more for “Look like her” which will be released now. This is a stripped and seemingly simple production, but with the previously mentioned qualities – as well as a tasteful and demanding arrangement.
On the downside we must mention that Espen Lind easily resorts to clich?s both musically and in the lyrics. With regards to the lyrics this is an obvious problem. Pop lyrics are of course not meant to be deep, but here they are partly empty.
However: We believe that the hits are lining up here. A well accomplished pop album from song creator Lind. |
