Lovely pop from Lind

Espen Lind has grown both as a song writer and as an artist. This is very clear on his newest album, “April”. It is basically a brilliant pop album!

Together with his colleague Amund Bj?rklund, Espen Lind has the main responsibility for the ten songs on the album.

Many might be surprised by the high number of ballads. But there is no need to worry: Espen Lind masters the art of writing ballads (Remember “When Susannah Cries”).

The many stages of love transcend most of the lyrics.

Espen Lind starts the album with “Million miles away”, a pearl of a pop song with a remarkable chorus. This is one of five mid or up tempo songs on the album. “Happy” also belongs among the very good songs on the new record. A lovely pop tune that makes you happy and leaves you in a good mood.

“Life will turn around” is another typical midtempo Espen Lind song with a very conspicuous tune.

It has been a long wait for new songs that Espen Lind has made for himself. It has been worth the wait!

Of the ballads, “Driving in your car” is a notch better than the others, but songs like “Movie star”, “Unloved” and “Stay away tonight” are luscious songs that emphasize Lind’s capacity as a songwriter. He definitely belongs amongst Norway’s best male pop artists.
